      Pang is a Malaysian arts consultant, activist, curator, organiser, photographer and writer. Presently Pang is the director of art & activism bazaar Art For Grabs. In 2008, together with fellow activists and artists, he co-founded sexuality rights festival Seksualiti Merdeka in Malaysia. It was banned by the police in 2011. Under the Chevening Scholarship, Pang graduated in 2013 with an MA in Gender, Sexuality & Culture from Birkbeck, University of London. He remains active in speaking on LGBT issues. He has presented his manifesto We Are The Rainbow and its accompanying interactive performance Languages of The Rainbow in Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, and East Timor. His talk talks about censorship as an LGBTQ activist in Malaysia

      Raj Bali has spent the last year working to build a space for marginalized people to share their experience, create a dialogue and learn from one another. His experience informed this talk on queer representation and why it's essential to give more of the spotlight to marginalized voices.

      Hospital administrator Carl Meadows proudly reaches Out to the community with a vision to make the world a better place one small way at a time. As co-founder of the national organization Rainbow Foundation of Hope and the annual charity Fall Gala, he raises over fifty thousand dollars every year for the Out in Schools campaign. He lives in Penticton, British Columbia with his husband Les, and their dog Ted, and his Pecha Kucha talks are always colourful.

      As a child who never “fit in”, Carl Meadows and did not graduate from grade 12 due to bullying. His stage was set to pioneer an unapologetic path to self-worth, humility and being true to self. He co-founded the national organization Foundation of Hope supporting LGBT+ refugees and established the annual Fall Gala charity event, which raises over fifty thousand dollars each year for Out in Schools. He is proud to call our community home.
